Editorial Standards

How we research, verify, and publish profiles

Juris Asensio profiles are professionally prepared and editorially reviewed. This page explains the standards behind every firm and attorney profile in the network.

01

Two distinct paths to inclusion

A firm may join through invitation and confirmation as a Founding Member, or it may appear as an independently researched Editorial Directory Listing. Both are held to the same factual and sourcing standards, but only the first is a membership claim.

02

Editorial listings use only carefully verified public information

Editorial Directory Listings are drafted from information the firm has already made public — its own website, official filings, and similar sources. We do not publish case results, star ratings, awards, or photography for a firm that has not confirmed its profile.

03

Firm confirmation required for membership status

No firm is called a Founding Member, Verified Profile, or Pro Partner until it has reviewed its profile through a private preview and confirmed its accuracy and its participation in the network.

04

Factual, specific, and free of superiority claims

We avoid unverifiable claims such as "best" or "top" attorney. Profiles describe practice areas, locations, credentials, and experience in specific, sourced language.

05

Transparent about verification status

Every profile clearly displays whether it is a Founding Member, Verified Profile, Confirmed Profile, or an Editorial Directory Listing not yet confirmed by the firm.

06

Transparent about paid participation

We clearly distinguish Founding Members from Juris Asensio Pro advertising participants, and every profile carries an advertising disclosure.

07

Periodic re-verification

Published profiles are periodically reviewed and, where the firm has confirmed its profile, re-confirmed with the firm directly. Each profile displays the date it was last editorially reviewed.

08

No guaranteed outcomes, no rankings

Inclusion in Juris Asensio does not imply we have ranked any firm as objectively "the best," and nothing on this site guarantees a legal outcome.

Definitions

Directory Inclusion vs. Network Membership

These terms appear throughout the site and mean specific, distinct things.

Editorial Directory Listing

A profile created from carefully reviewed public information. The firm has not necessarily reviewed the profile or joined the Juris Asensio network.

Confirmed Profile

The firm has reviewed and confirmed key profile information.

Founding Member

A law firm that has accepted an invitation to participate during the founding stage of the network.

Verified Profile

The firm has confirmed its information and Juris Asensio has completed its current verification process.

Pro Partner

A participating firm with a separate advertising and performance-based acquisition arrangement.

What inclusion in the directory means — and doesn't

Inclusion in the Juris Asensio directory:

  • Does not mean a firm is objectively the best.
  • Does not constitute legal advice.
  • Does not guarantee availability or results.
  • Does not necessarily mean the firm has joined the network.
  • May be based on publicly available information.
  • Must not be interpreted as a recommendation for a specific legal matter.

Language we use — and avoid

We avoid

  • "Best attorney" / "top lawyer"
  • "Guaranteed result"
  • "Recommended specifically for your case"
  • "Independently selected as the best"
  • Calling an unconfirmed listing a "member" or "participating firm"

We use
